ABV 40%
Hmmm. Not quite as well structured as I might have wished. I prefer the old Glen Moray to this, which has its moments, but tends to be a little awkward.

Nose: Dry and less overtly malty than the usual Glen Moray; comes to life only when well warmed. Then slightly buttery and marshmallow-sweet.
Palate: Tangy fruit, unquestionably grapey, but fails to marry with the intense malt which offers some much needed sweetness.
Finish: Dry, vanilla, lacking depth, save some toasty cocoa notes. Short.

Taster
Nose: Fresh, scented, fruity, like an unpeeled dessert grape. Perhaps a suggestion of banana.
Palate: Water melon, banana, white chocolate. Lightly creamy. Shortbread.
Finish: Grape skins and apple cores, hay and cereal grains. Lightly dry and very crisp.
Comment: Pale and soft, but textured.
Score: 8
