Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light gold. An amazing nose, like walking into a branch of Body Shop - all passion fruit, overripe mango, ripe banana, cocoa butter and vanilla.

Palate: As you'd expect, the ripe fruity theme continues in the mouth with a glint of sweet sherry-accented fruit mid-palate.

Finish: Dry to start then softens leaving traces of raisin and soft tropical fruit.

Comment: A slightly bizarre malt.

Score: 6.5

Taster

Nose: Sweet. Oak. Hint of sulphur.

Palate: Sweetish. Vanilla. Lemony. Some maltiness. Somewhat woody.

Finish: Slightly sappy. Smoke. Bergamot. Hint of spice.

Comment: It would take a particularly good parcel of this malt to mature for 21 years.
