Taster

Nose: Slightly lean with touches of vanilla, shaved wood, butter and green plum.

Palate: Clean and sprightly, sugary: orange marmalade with smoke from about half way in. Round and gentle.

Finish: Light smoke.

Comment: A solid Bowmore that's lighter than the distillery bottlings.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Straight-ahead fragrant peat smoke.

Palate: Oily. Good Bowmore character: reedy, smoky, sandy, salty.

Finish: Appetising. Long, late, peppery dryness.

Comment: All the elements of Bowmore, and plenty of alcohol, but extra dimension.
