Nose

Glows in the glass. Dark fruits and creme brulee. Lots of polished oak, some pine and coconut, menthol and liqueur chocolates.

Palate

Heavily structured. Very tight and not allowing the spirit to speak. Any flavour has been replaced by grip.

Finish

Tannic.

Comment

Great nose but disappointing palate. It's not as simple as 'what's the right age',but at what point has the cask done its job. This has gone too far.
