Does Canadian work with sherry? I think bourbon wood has more to offer, but this is a nice try.
8 Years Old, Sherry Cask
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Maple syrup.
Palate: Smooth, nutty, rich.
Finish: Some rye coming through.
Comment: Does Canadian work with sherry? I think bourbon wood has more to offer, but this is a nice try.
Nose: Amber/copper. Slick, slippery nose: caramel, Gonzalez-Byass Alfonso sherry, wholemeal bread, fruit cake.
Palate: Ultra-soft like buttered walnut bread and a dry, nutty, mid-palate.
Finish: Drying but soft.
Comment: Whisky-flavoured sherry. Bit too sickly sweet for me. Celine Dion.
