Nose

Nose shows stewed prunes, coal sack, walnut, honey, mint toffee, vanilla and reminiscent of an old bureau: polished wood, dust and leather.

Palate

Thick and oaky with deep, rich, silky black fruit flavours. Leather, coffee grounds and a little smoke.

Finish

Dry and slightly woody then a puff of fragrant, heathery smoke.

Comment

A big whisky which needs time in the glass to open.
