Taster

Nose: Aromatic and earthy with dark, toasted wheat flakes, liquorice, nut kernel and bran along with balsamic, sour fruit, treacle and dark wood notes. Astringent but a lovely vitality with late floral violets.

Palate: Herbal with dark wheat, treacle and bracing citrus notes which add freshness. Wood tannins arrive but are promptly succeeded by sweet herbs, sour fruit and a touch of camphor.\n

Finish: Long and moist, the oak vanillins add lightness to the sour fruit. Smoky, treacly finish. \n

Comment: Fantastically complex with the oak playing second fiddle to the spirit character.
