Nose
Rich and deep. A hint of white truffle and a light charred note. Oily with nutty/sweet oxidised notes. Thick honey, barley sugar and ginger.
Palate
Big, thick and honeyed - blossom/clover. Red fruits, some spicy wood extract. Unctuous and thick.
Finish
Dessert like.
Comment
Amazing depth of character for such a young whisky. Has been bottled at its peak and shows a great balance of distillery character and the weird decayed glory of Sauternes.
