Nose: Sour. Cider cellar. Very fruity. Pomegranate, cranberries. Then a creamy note. Vanilla yogurt. The first sour note fades away. White chocolate as well.
Palate: Crisp and dry. Raw silk texture. Oak is present but not overwhelming. Sour fruit. Typical rye flavours. Getting spicy.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Ginger and white pepper.
Comment: A classic rye whiskey. Gains balance and sweetness with a dash of water.
Nose: Big and fruity, but there are dusty spices lurking here too. Sharp acidic berries, blackberries blueberries and morello cherries. A sweet cornbread note.
Palate: A crunchy dusty note, almost warm rye bread. A dark cherry tone and fresh oak are also present. Spices start to build at the end.
Finish: Dries with that dusty, spicy edge.
Comment: Nice and complex with well built layers. That dusty rye note is very morish.
