Nose: Smells almost thick. Buttermilk pancakes, with lots of added butter, strawberries and maple syrup on top along with a bit of struck match and burnt cake notes.
Palate: Wonderful mouthfeel. Thick and oily. Just a bit of background smoky / sulphur, along with more up-front spice, brown sugar, raisins and cake. Reminds of Welsh cakes but with red fruits.\n
Finish: Tacky, sweetness that sticks to back of palate, along with a mid-palate dash of struck matches and cream.\n
Comment: Sweetness balanced out by that hint of struck matches and something savoury.

Taster
Nose: Juicy treacle and coffee coated raisin, prune and walnut. Pure, earthy, slightly dusty Oloroso notes show a light Armagnac-esque rancio. Toffee, orange marmalade, burnt wood and green nuts follow. A clean sherry monster.
Palate: An expansive mouthful of chewy, malty treacle and molasses, balancing citrus and alcohol. Burnt raisin, prune and lightly bitter chocolaty tannins.\n
Finish: Long and juicy with plenty of burnt wood, treacle and citrus.\n
Comment: Sherry monster aficionados will be bashing down the doors to get hold of this!
