Nose

The peat courses through the aroma, in perfect balance and harmony with the oily malt.

Palate

The malt is soft at first but then, the peatiness gathers pace and intensity until it positively glows.

Finish

The oak Bourbon-malt-peat-cocoa characters all ebb and flow but is joined by a late fruity ripeness and a sprinkling of peppers.

Comment

This is the finest whisky I have ever tasted. As close to perfection as makes no difference.
