Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Sappy/fresh wood. Light touches of Shreddies and very light smoke. Cool and porcelain like. Gentle, but also hard to get into.

Palate: Better than the virtual neutrality of the nose. Direct with citrus zest, seashells. Clean with good length which slowly reveals light fleshy fruits, tinned fruit salad. Still light.

Finish: Gentle and short.

Comment: Strangely demanding as you try to extract what is there.

Score: 7.2

Taster

Nose: Perfumy. Floral and herbal. Gillyflower, lemon balm. Enticing and refreshing. Hint of fresh coriander. Then opens on sweeter notes. Vanilla syrup.

Palate: Velvety and round. White fruit, stewed peaches and pears. Lemon curd.

Finish: Medium long, drying on spices with a clean astringency.

Comment: A delicious dram, appetising and well structured. A Bowmore? An unpeated one then.
