Nose: Toast with raspberry jam, for breakfast by the sea.
Palate: Almond croissants. Darjeeling tea.
Finish: A bit sandy. It's a windy day.
Comment: Not as elegant and complex as some in this flight, but the breakfast it evoked was hearty and delicious.
Nose: Rich dried fruit wafts above underlying toastiness, brioche with fruit sauce, then vanilla, créme brûlée and apple skins emerge mid-way.
Palate: Rich gingerbread, brioche, baked apples with vanilla sauce and cloves, while underlying toastiness continues with digestive biscuits.
Finish: Fruity, malty combination, toastiness lingers.
Comment: Softly spoken but plenty to say, being elegantly delicate but delivering real range.
