Nose

Oaky. The sherry influence immediately signs the nose. Damp warehouse, musty aromas. Fungal. A cinnamon hint. Earthy.

Palate

Raw silk texture. Sweet with a dry astringency. Oak is well integrated and releases complex spicy notes. Roasted hazelnuts but not praline yet.

Finish

Long, dry with a liquorice character.

Comment

A well balanced sherry whisky. I prefer the palate to the nose with this.
