So familiar and so lovely. A sympohony of smoke and peat.

Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Warm earthy tones take you straight to the hearth, peat fire mixed with a little wood and coal. Coal tar soap and some gentle fruit notes.
Palate: Smoked salmon and kippers, a buttery note too, coal tar and ash the day after a fire. Fresh turned soil.
Finish: T?he coal tar soap note holds and then fades slowly.\r
Comment: So familiar and so lovely. A sympohony of smoke and peat.
Nose: A big earthy peat hits you first, with a sprinkling of coal dust, some banana milkshake and a very lightly perfumed soap.
Palate: Murky and earthy, with a blast of soily, oily peat, some dark chocolate and tobacco ash as well.
Finish: As expected, the peat lingers, with a dry oak on the death.
Comment: Absolutely filthy (in a good way), this - like doing a bog swim without a snorkel.
