There is this odd strawberry aroma note on the nose. The palate is better structured but it could have benefited a higher strength I feel.

Taster

Nose: Fruity with an oaky note. Damp board, strawberry candy (nearly like the strawberry flavoured chewing gum). Hint of thyme and laurel. Then a fudge note or rather tablet.

Palate: Sweet and soft. A bit watery. Oak and malt are well integrated. Fudge, sultanas. Getting drier in time.

Finish: Still sweet but with a dry feel. Has a nutty aftertaste.

Comment: There is this odd strawberry aroma note on the nose. The palate is better structured but it could have benefited a higher strength I feel.

Taster

Nose: Lots of savoury notes, bouquet garni, oak grips after a while bringing soft red berries. There is a caramel edge lurking here, like millionaire's shortbread.

Palate: That caramel sweetness comes through, and with it a mix of coconut, sun dried raisins and a crisp barley edge as well.

Finish: Sweet all the way with chocolate covered hazelnuts at the end.

Comment: Well balanced, but cannot help wonder if a little more oomph in the ABV department might improve things.
