Taster

Nose: Oily, with barley, ozone, starch, orange juice and soft smoke.

Palate: A carry-over of barley from the nose, with vanilla, subtle smoke and wood shavings.

Finish: Peppery and nutty, with a suggestion of peat. Medium in length.

Comment: Quite an easy-drinking, relatively lightweight Highland Park.

Nose: Vanilla and caramel notes from those ex-Bourbon casks come to the fore \nhere with a whiff of restrained smoke in the background.

Palate: A mouth feel of dairy cream gives way to intense crème brûlée, cracked black pepper and oak notes.

Finish: Dry and peppery with just a hint of peat smoke.

Comment: Rich and intense flavours make for a very drinkable whisky.
