Enjoyable, even though it had a short finish, I found the dram well balanced and quaffable.

Nose: Light cereal grains and heather to begin with, quickly disappearing to make room for some spice and fruitiness. Lots of vanilla and fudge.
Palate: Short, smooth and floral with hints of ginger and hay and subtle green notes with a touch of citrus.
Finish: Light and soft with a very light texture, lively albeit its shortness.
Comment: Enjoyable, even though it had a short finish, I found the dram well balanced and quaffable.

Taster
Nose: Bruised plum, kumquat, apple and banana with caster sugar. Turkish Delight and rose water. Candied almonds, nutmeg, cinnamon, Bourbon oak.
Palate: Lightly oiled, estery, sweet, tropical fruit – apricot, banana, pineapple and apple. Cinnamon and a light, herbal rye-like note with hints of rose water. Juicy, balancing minerality.
Finish: Long and spicy with clove, cinnamon and nutmeg lingering along with the perfumed rose Turkish Delight.
Comment: Has a Highland distillery dabbled in triple distillation? Either way it’s a fabulous whisky!
Score: 8.9
