Nose: Quite shy and delicate at first. In time Dutch caramel waffle biscuits, lemon grass herbal quality, there are some fruits, woodland berries lurking. Honey sweetness too.
Palate: Again starts all sweet and gentle, but starts to beef up as the spices begin to build, caramel bars, blackberries, cinnamon and icing sugar.
Finish: Slowly dries with cinnamon and sugar sweetness lasting.
Comment: A dram of two halves, sweetness and spice.
Score: 8.4
Taster
Nose: Light and fragrant. Floral. Narcissus. Touch of lemon balm and mint. Gets biscuity. Vanilla wafer. Delicate fruit. Redcurrant. A lovely and subtle aromatic display. Sweet and ethereal.
Palate: Silky and caressing texture at first then drying and getting gently abrasive. The same delicacy as on the nose. Fresh red sour fruit and ripe pear.
Finish: Dry, spicy, nutty.
Comment: An enticing 'whispering'
Score: 8.5
