Nose
Funky. Cheddar cheese rind and light prune, then waxed jackets. After time in the glass sherried fruits emerge. It's considerably more straightforward with water - take your choice.
Palate
So soft it comes as a shock after such a direct nose. Gentle, smooth and almost shy with very gentle soft fruits.
Finish
Juicy, then light barley.
Comment
Just get the feeling that bottling at a slightly higher strength might have given it the kick it needs for the palate to balance the nose.
