Nose
Intense and colourful. A basket of ripe summer fruit (apricot, peach) with a fresh lemony character. Becomes biscuity (shortbread) with water. Pleasant dry oakiness in the back.
Palate
Smooth and velvety. Oak and spices tend to prevail over the fruit.
Finish
Dry, spicy and slightly astringent.
Comment
A vibrant, characterful malt, drier on the palate and finish than expected from the nose.
