Nose

Quite winey with toasted treacle and an almost PX-like grapiness. Intense and very herbal with malt biscuits, caramel, sour cheese, leather and stewed fruit.

Palate

Intense, alcoholic and coffeed with plenty of drying wood notes, herbs and hints of malt biscuits and treacle. \n

Finish

Masked, mouth-watering, herbal and malty. Water softens and emphasises the malt and herbal notes.\n

Comment

Clearly well made whisky, with a very dominant cask.
