Nose

Aromatic, sweet corn and enormous herbal rye and coffeed rye go head to head with chunky oak. Praline and cream appear but the focus is on the herbal rye. \n

Palate

Oily with herbal rye and lightly toasted wheat flakes, bran and treacle. Again the oak is pretty dense but it sits beneath, displays a harder, grittier and more tannic character. \n

Finish

Reasonable length with plenty of herbal notes. Finally a little creamy oak and corn comes through but it’s quite a dry finish. \n

Comment

Entertaining but it just lacks some sweetness to balance the alcohol and rye.
