Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Sweet and tingling with lilac, custard cream and then sappy oak, sawn\rpine/sauna. Lifted, fresh and honeyed.

Palate: Soft, with the ginger note. Silky feel with a rich, deep palate that shows\rtouches of sweet sawdust and pine candles. On the sweet side of things.

Finish: Sweet and slightly firm.

Comment: Full and rich.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Aromatic and a bit like a Thai restaurant, with lemongrass, lime, fresh\rbarley, caramel and pantry spices.

Palate: Rich and sweet, with tinned pear and peach but enough spice and body to\rstop it becoming cloying or over-sweet.

Finish: Balanced and pleasant, but fades quickly.

Comment: The virgin oak explains the spiciness. Quite delightful.
