The Glenturret Distillery
A charming whisky, and a reminder that Glenturret is a place, not an experience.
1986, 15 Years Old
Nose: Fresh. Minty boiled sweets.
Palate: Concentrated sweetness. Scottish tablet. Nuts.
Finish: Gingery. Spicy. Lively. Dry. Long.
Comment: A charming whisky, and a reminder that Glenturret is a place, not an experience.
Nose: A definite sour, unpleasant milky aroma. Varnish-like fresh paint scent. Cedar notes behind.
Palate: Lots of liquorice and aniseed (like Liquorice Allsorts). Nothing much else.
Finish: Liquorice again. Turning slightly bitter.
Comment: One-dimensional with a butyric aroma which doesn't help. Far from exciting.
