Nose

Big, rich, appetising nose: Dundee cake, oak, sherry, ripe fruits, fern/bracken and the greenish edge you seem to get with many 12 Years Olds.

Palate

Robust, deep and fruity with lovely rich oaky notes.

Finish

A little short.

A powerful bugger and a great introduction to the distillery style, but you feel you'd get much more in a couple of years.
