More of a cocktail than a malt as if some wine has been left in the glass and Glenmorangie poured on top of it. Help! I'm confused!

Taster

Nose: Soft. Raspberry fool, cranberry sauce, custard, stewed apple/apple skin, fennel seed, dry wood.

Palate: Sweet and soft, apples in red wine, red fruit and cream.

Finish: Very soft. Wine gums.

Comment: More of a cocktail than a malt as if some wine has been left in the glass and Glenmorangie poured on top of it. Help! I'm confused!

Taster

Nose: Rough', fresh, fruity. Brought to mind fruit skins and almondy cherry pits.

Palate: Big, smooth, fruity, earthy. Becoming marshmallow-like and malty.

Finish: Sandalwood, walnut, salt ... all the Glenmorangie flavours come powering through.

Comment: Very port-tasting and curiously unrefined. Having robust tastes in food and drink, I loved it. Some might find it lacking in sophistication.
