Nose

Aromas of buttery oak, apricot, thyme and black pepper. With time hints of barley, heather and sweet rose petals, but the distinct first fill American oak\nis dominant.

Palate

Full and very oaky with the buttery American oak cloaking the apricot and barley. Slightly herbal on the middle but the oak is overly intrusive. \n

Finish

Long and oaky! A little crisp citrus adds some balance. Lingering rose petal notes.

Comment

Underneath all that oak the spirit feels quite young, although the youthful intensity sort of makes it work quite well.
