Taster

Nose: Slightly tired with fading malt supplemented by ripe cherry.

Palate: A spicy start only tends to disguise the over eager oak.

Finish: Dry and oaky.

Comment: Old and awaiting the grim reaper.

Score: 6.3

Taster

Nose: Fudge. Creamy oriental desserts.

Palate: Teasing balance of rosewater, marzipan sweetness and cedary dryness. Beautifully combined flavours.

Finish: Big, almondy. Like chewing on halva. Long, lingering soothing.

Comment: Linkwood is a lovely whisky, especially in its older incarnations.
