Nose

Malty and fruity. Rhubarb and ginger jam. Gingerbread. Brown bread. Dates and sultanas. Candied orange. Rich in the back, beeswax.

Palate

Sweet at first then dry and crisp. Oak is overwhelming. Bitter chocolate Ground ginger. Toffee in the back.

Finish

Dry, bittersweet.

Comment

A strong character, oak driven. For me, the alcohol is not well mastered.
