Nose: Honeydew melons, piled up in a store.
Palate: Smooth. Sweet. Toffeeish. Juicy.
Finish: Clean, crisp, slightly toasty peppery, dryness.
Comment: A clean, easily drinkable, well-made Bourbon. Straight-ahead, rather than quirky. A certain mature restraint, but is that sufficient pay-off?

Nose: A fabulous combination of roasted almonds and pecan pie.
Palate: Light, clean with rich, leathery, liquorice, slightly phenolic oak notes.
Finish: Demerara sweetness and a drying vanilla.
Comment: Nose is great; taste is marginally less so.
