A shy and sleepy whisky. Water wakes it up a little revealing spices but it still lacks expression.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light and prickly in the same time. Perfumy. Floral. Carnation. A musty note. Like wet cardboard. Wet straw.

Palate: Sweet and crisp. The alcohol bite is less active than the nose lets you expect. Cereals, a touch of vanilla but not much.

Finish: Short, dry, fading.

Comment: A shy and sleepy whisky. Water wakes it up a little revealing spices but it still lacks expression.

Score: 7.4

Taster

Nose: Quite gentle but the alcohol is here at first. Dunnage warehousing, earth, alcohol and damp wood. A floral note comes through eventually.

Palate: Honey wafers, granola bars, vanilla laced custard, poached apples in sugar syrup. A good malty crunch edge.

Finish: Clean and crisp.

Comment: The alcohol does not mask the palate at all, a good dram. Water brings out more sweetness and spices.
