Nose: Ripe melon, orange peel, violets, banana skins and vanilla.

Palate: Very smooth, almost buttery but with a prickling warming spice.

Finish: Lingering, spicy and oaky with a gentle smoky dryness.

Comment: Greater dimensions than the original 16 Years Old.

Score: 8.5

Nose: Very scented. Musky. Hint of cloves.

Palate: Smooth and firm. More assertive. Toffee, apple, oak.

Finish: Long. Hints of peat. Grassy. Leafy. Resiny oak.

Comment: Less delicate and scenty, but more satisfying. More wine, but more of everything else.
