ABV 47.8%
A playful whisky for one of such maturity. Starting very sweetly, but reluctant to reveal its secrets. Give it time to reveal its complexity.

Nose: Light, fresh, almond-blossom. Hard butterscotch. Nutty. A hint of grassy peatiness.
Palate: Slowly reveals white chocolate flavours. Fondant-like, peppermint. Then spicy, herbal notes.
Finish: Restrained. Lightly gingery. Warming.

Taster
Nose: Intense, perfumed almost sharp nose with lemon zest, fresh flowers, cereal/Shredded Wheat, light vanilla, pine forest/resin and a touch of candlewax.
Palate: Light and quite acidic. There's some vanilla mid-palate but overall crisp, penetrating and zesty.
Finish: The lemon notes stay with it all the way.
Comment: Vibrant but not quite balanced between the sharp citrus notes, wood and fruit.
Score: 8.3
