Taster

Nose: Rich,stewed plum,smoke.

Palate: A nice oak and smoke one two, burnt cardboard,a nice balance between sweet and sour, complex and full.

Finish: One of those that grabs the roof of the mouth and hangs on,and on.

Comment: The unusual cask provides a different take to the previous malt - but not an unwelcome one.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Slightly alarming hue,but rich fruits: berry picking in autumn with a bonfire. Oily smoke grows as it opens:\rblueberries and salt. Now,there's a combo you don't get every day. Just stops being jammy.

Palate: Fruits to the fore, light spice, fine grip. The smoke slowly picks up and takes charge on the back palate.Best neat.

Finish: Salt!

Comment: Longrow's bold character manages to boss the wine cask resulting in a fascinating combination.
