Taster

Nose: Leathery. Malty. Developing on oaky notes. Cedar, vanilla custard. A distant fruity aroma (cider apple).

Palate: Smooth, well balanced. Oak is well integrated, revealing a spicy dryness, balanced by sweet raisin notes.

Finish: Dry,astringent. Walnut peel aftertaste.

Comment: A somewhat austere but well structured whisky.

Score: 7.6

Taster

Nose: Mature. Very heathery with cereal, light woods and a dry charred note balancing the vanilla. Ripe soft fruits.\rGrows in the glass.

Palate: Lovely start, all clover honey, cream and very pure fruit.Water shows a light oily grip before the heather returns. Light, but there's plenty going on.

Finish: Fruity.

Comment: A lovely dram..hope its new owners find some like this lurking in the warehouses.
