Taster

Nose: Oaky. Damp wood. An earthy note. Like walking by a heap of apples in a\rNorman orchard on a drecht September day. A distant note of dying bonfire. On time, a more appealing floral note. Marshmallow.

Palate: Quite smooth at first then tightening on an astringent feel and flavour. Oak and dried apple. Dusty spices in the back.

Finish: Dry, dusty and spicy.

Comment: A dour character which lifts up on the nose but not on the palate.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Back in the humidor again, drying leaves, tobacco smoke. A little candle\rwax. Some floral and fruit notes too.

Palate: Almost smoked applewood cheese. Oak is here and dries things out a little.\rGentle spices warm the mouth.

Finish: Drying with spices.

Comment: A great autumnal whisky, mirrors the season.
