Palate: Smooth, mellow, subtle baked apples with spicy gingerbread, citrus, pear drops, some underlying dry oakyness and clove.

Finish: Subtle poached fruit sweetness and dry, spicy oak.

Comment: Fruit-driven with spice and oak extending the spectrum and adding gravitas.

Taster

Nose: Sugared almonds. Fudge. Chocolates in a box.

Palate: Honeyed dryness. Dark liquid honey. Flavours gradually emerging. Restrained citrus, orange, then lemon.

Finish: Mixed spices. Slight ginger.

Comment: Lots of flavour but restrained and well balanced. Very confident. If there is a Speyside style, surely this is it.
