Tasting Notes

Rob Allanson

Taster

Nose: Pear drops, roast apples, dried mango and a runny honey sweetness. Cereal notes and leaf mulch lurk in the background.

Palate: All fruit and nut chocolate, flat white coffee and hard travel sweets at first. Then the oak dries a little with Chantilly cream.

Finish: Warm and sweet, with a hint of walnut.

Comment: Full of Speyside charm and swagger, balance and poise.

Score: 8.9

Taster

Nose: Intense, grassy. Elegant. Peaches poached in honey. Then fudge and\rliquorice toffee. An earthy note too. Sun warmed pine needles.

Palate: Round at first then an explosion of spices gives a very dry feel, balanced\rwith creamy marshmallow and caramelised almonds.

Finish: Sweet, lingering, with a gentle fizzy feel on the tongue.

Comment: A real cracker. Perfect balance. Rich, enticing. Alcohol is beautifully mastered.
