Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Ripe apples, treacle, leaf mulch, shifting slightly into linseed along with a flick of a leather. Water brings out a whiff of turps and dusty spices.

Palate: Real concentration, then napthalene. The leather comes back...as do tannins.

Finish: Dries significantly and reveals smoke.

Comment: This is a big mean mother whose youthful charms have been lashed into submission by oak.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: Refresher sweeties, lavender and demerara rum. Leafy, floral and something slightly silagey.

Palate: Floral, with a bourbon-like character with lots of vanilla oak and some piney sap.

Finish: Demerara, rum-like sweetness.

Comment: Very pleasant aged whisky.
