Aberlour

Vintage 1990 Edition

ABV 40%

On this occasion the vintage bottling had the most typical Aberlour character, especially in its spiciness. I also enjoyed its liveliness and complexity. The best Aberlour on the day.

Taster

Nose: Initially quite light and lean. Water is needed to bring out a hot bracken, toffee note with US wood: light hickory, honey and spice. Flat.

Palate: A burst of soft toffee, loads of honey and a dry cereal, peanut brittle edginess. A little musty.

Finish: Chewy, medium length, a little minty.

Comment: Young and light but a bit flat with a wet newspaper note that could be light corkiness.
