A nice fresh feel. But alcohol is not tamed. Water cools it down but takes the zesty kick away.

Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Perfumy. Citrus fruit. Tangerine and seville orange. Flower honey. Oatcakes.

Palate: Tangy. Alcohol dominates. Sherbety. Spices dance on the tongue. Smoother with water.

Finish: Very spicy, keeps spirity.

Comment: A nice fresh feel. But alcohol is not tamed. Water cools it down but takes the zesty kick away.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Sweet and luscious, creamy. Some sultana, some toasted malt, pine nut, bread and a charred note. Shows maturity.

Palate: Surprisingly firm, grippy backbone after such a soft appealing nose. Shows some age along with orange, honey. Soft, long and full.

Finish: Sweet spices.

Comment: Very good, but not quite the great balance of the last three.
