Nose

Very pale - another in this naked/knackered collection of casks. Light talcum powder, slightly skeletal, bleached bones then seaweed and brine.

Palate

After a restrained nose it surges on to the tongue with powerful herbal\rsmokiness and genuine salinity. There's sweetness here as well\rthough. Surprising impact.

Finish

Chalk dust and smoke.

Comment

The smoke saves it - a more active cask would have elevated it.
