A pungent summer dram with character and simplicity. Strangely,\rwater makes it fiery. To try with oysters (just a drop please!).

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Iodinic. Wet seaweeds, seashells. Fresh lemon pulp. Young and vibrant. In the back, a pleasant floral note. Hyacinth maybe.

Palate: Sweet and fizzy. Very refreshing. Clean, all in one block. Mint and lemon.\rSmoke with an iodinic touch.

Finish: In the same harmony as the palate. Drying out on spices.

Comment: A pungent summer dram with character and simplicity. Strangely,\rwater makes it fiery. To try with oysters (just a drop please!).

Score: 7.6

Taster

Nose: Very pale - another in this naked/knackered collection of casks. Light talcum powder, slightly skeletal, bleached bones then seaweed and brine.

Palate: After a restrained nose it surges on to the tongue with powerful herbal\rsmokiness and genuine salinity. There's sweetness here as well\rthough. Surprising impact.

Finish: Chalk dust and smoke.

Comment: The smoke saves it - a more active cask would have elevated it.
