Taster

Nose: Slightly indistinct but in time a rich sweetness.

Palate: Incredibly sweet: demerara sugar and malt. Has good weight, vanilla, almond. Well-rounded and silky.

Finish: Nutty and long.

Comment: Builds from a slightly disappointing nose to a solid sweet palate.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: Lots of fruit. Pear drops. Summer fruit pudding. Apples cooked in the oven.

Palate: Quite smooth. Light-bodied. Lots of fruit again. Blackcurrant.

Finish: Crisp and dry. Warm all the way through.

Comment: Hard to guess at the high alcohol strength from the nose. Not the usual big, oily Ben Nevis character. A pleasant fruitiness keeps the sweet notes dominant.
