Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: A weird note of wasabi. Very obvious. Quite prickly. Followed by a fast fading cheese touch (Reblochon cheese?). Then on a sweeter note, plum pudding comes through.

Palate: Dry, sour. Oak prevails. Fizzy feel. Displays lots of spices. Ginger, black pepper. A distant touch of gingerbread as well.

Finish: Dry and spicy.

Comment: A rather dour fellow. Needs better balance for me.

Score: 7.6

Taster

Nose: Rich. Cake mix, dry leaves, crisped cereal, then a long, sweet mix of date and supple leather, pea and ham soup (which isn't a bad thing) and cacao. Scented with dried rasps and amaro.

Palate: Sweet and biscuity then thick layers of oak. Shifts into black treacle/fruit then real dryess coming from the spirit underneath emerges.

Finish: Dry.

Comment: Impressive, but you can see the joins.
