The nose delivers more aromas than the palate. The alcohol is not totally mastered here. A few more years in the cask maybe ?

Year of Bottling
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Perfumy. Fruity. Fresh juicy grapes, honeyed pears.
Palate: Smooth at first then the alcohol gives the tongue a kick. Oaky grip at midpalate. A nutty hint and some sweet vanilla notes.
Finish: Astringent but in a pleasant way.
Comment: The nose delivers more aromas than the palate. The alcohol is not totally mastered here. A few more years in the cask maybe ?
Nose: Another delicate number. Scone mix, ash wood and subtle touches of perfume like lime and linden blossom.
Palate: Here you can more easily discern marzipan, gooseberries, lychee, pear and apple juice and a zesty drive.
Finish: Light juniper/pine.
Comment: Delicate but charming with good intensity. It's often unfair to put this very carefully thought out character in a line-up with bolder flavours, but with patience you begin to understand. This isn't Scotch, it's Mackmyra.
