A perfectly pretty dram but it is almost too light. Even delicate whiskies need backbone.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Fresh and estery (acetone, pear, cooking apple, linoleum?) with light floral and citric notes. Some barley sugar sweetness. Better with water.

Palate: Sweet and direct. Flowers an intense sweetness: banana with brown sugar. Light structure, decent balance.

Finish: Sugary almond biscuits.

Comment: A perfectly pretty dram but it is almost too light. Even delicate whiskies need backbone.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Lovely combination of crystallised orange, a little toffee and some lemon zest. Some fresh cut grass.

Palate: Fruit, toffee and a bold maltiness.

Finish: Drying and long-lasting malt character.

Comment: Very pleasant youngish malt whisky. Not groundbreaking but a credit to any cabinet.
