Nose: Smoky and briny. Burning seaweeds. Dry ashes. A sweet whiff of vanilla. Lemon sherbet. Garden mint.

Palate: Smooth with a lovely satin-like feel. Smoke and sweet maltiness combine with a minty touch. Refreshing and\rstraightforward.

Finish: Dry, slightly sooty. A sweet spearmint comes back.

Taster

Nose: Peaty! Slightlly flinty to begin with then comes smoked meats,Polish smoked sausage with a sweet touch of\rhoneydew melon.

Palate: A slight pause and then a mix of sweet tropical fruits backed by creosote like smoke. Oily yet fresh with a subtle depth. Great power, even better balance.Exemplary

Finish: Hint of soot.

Comment: This is top notch stuff. One of the best Port Ellen's for some while. Snap it up.
