An uncomplicated but less exhausted, more even Bladnoch than Adelphi's, offering pleasing balance. Past its best, though.

Taster

Nose: Subtle, silky and sweet; the maltiness is all-embracing and clean. Soft vanilla and coriander add depth.

Palate: Early dry oak suggests decay but powering, intense, if unsophisticated malt gives balance.

Finish: Vanilla, toffee and cocoa.

Comment: An uncomplicated but less exhausted, more even Bladnoch than Adelphi's, offering pleasing balance. Past its best, though.

Score: 6.5
