Taster

Nose: Big, intense. Immediate marine scents. Iodine, seaweeds with an earthy note. Smoky and floral notes rise up, intimately interlaced. Smoked haddock and meat. BBQ ready ! A fresh aniseed touch.

Palate: Sweet at start with a big whiff of smoke. Then a dry fizzy feel. The alcohol is well mastered. Minty and liquorice freshness.

Finish: Lingering, refreshing and sooty.

Comment: A big islander, well structured and well balanced. Just a dash of water is\renough to enhance the flavours.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Coal tar soap, sweet heather, smoked kippers and creamy cullen skink. Sooty edges. There is also BBQ marinade. Rice, black bean sauce and chillies, Char Sui pork.

Palate: Sweet first and then the soot comes through. Has a slight waxy texture to it\ras well.

Finish: Dries out briefly before becoming seriously mouth watering.

Comment: A serious and excellent addition to the line up, cannot wait to try it with Asian food.
